How the mission works


How to use the B2B platform for the meetings

A matchmaking event is a quick and easy way to meet potential cooperation partners.
People meet and greet at high speed. 30 minutes are usually enough to build connections, then the bell rings and the next meeting starts.


1) Online Registration

Register online and submit your own cooperation profile.
Sicilian Producers
: In your profile you can describe your company/products: add valuable information about your competitive advantages and commercial offer to attract the interest of potential buyers (quality certifications, relevant clients, prizes, channels of distributions searched, experience in external markets if applicable, countries of interest, etc.).
Importers
: Describe your business, your interest in attending the event (products of your interest), products and brands you are now selling. Explain which distribution channels you address to, or you represent (clarify): Wholesaler, Hypermarkets, Supermarkets/ Hotels and Restaurants/ Gourmet and /Food Chains/ Other.
Add, if any, specific requirements that companies must comply to when working with you.
All cooperation profiles will be published online and will be for everyone to see.
You can change your profile at any time.
Note
: The better the quality of your profile, the more meeting requests you will receive.
Your business proposal is your business card, therefore spend some minutes to insert a high quality and meaningfull profile.


2) Promotion of profiles

All published profiles will be extensively promoted by the organizers of this event.
Furthermore, all participants of the event will view your cooperation profile.
High quality profiles are visited about 50 to 150 times BEFORE the event and will still be viewed AFTER the event.
You can also use the social networks to promote your profiles.


3) Bilateral Meetings

Buyers and Sicilian producers will be informed by email when they can start booking bilateral meetings.
A total of 16 possible business meetings, between the 6th (full day) and 7th of July (morning, if no company visits are planned) can take place.
Buyers/Producers
can invite/accept/decline meetings. To make the most out of this mission, based on the prefences indicated by the buyers, the Organizer might complete the final agenda, including additonal Sicilian producers, and update buyers and producers by e-mail.
Check which cooperation profiles are the most interesting for you
. Once you have found the most promising business partners, you can select them for bilateral meetings.
Please be aware that the bookings are managed on the principle "first come - first served".
Your personal agenda of the meetings

A few days before the event participants will receive a personal privisional agenda of the meetings. In any case, each participant can login and check the updated online meeting schedule. This agenda provides information about the time, the number of the table, the potential partner to meet.
Messages

Participants can exchange messages using the dedicated messaging functionality in the platform, to chat about common interests and availability.
Confirm your participation
In case you have meetings the organizer needs to be sure that you will attend the event.
Therefore, please confirm or cancel your participation once you are asked to confirm.


4) The Matchmaking Event

At the registration desk, you will receive an updated version of your meeting schedule including last minute bookings.
Your personal meeting schedule will be listed in chronological order and it will include:
• the names of your conversation partners
• the table number for each meeting
• the schedule of meetings
Our staff will be at your disposal during the whole matchmaking event and period of the mission.
